About Brahma Lodge:
Location and Boundaries
Brahma Lodge is bounded by Park Terrace in the north, Main North Road in the east, Frost Road in the south and Cross Keys Road in the west.
Settlement of the area dates from the mid 1800s, with land used mainly for farming and orcharding. Growth took place in the early 1900s when a trotting stud was established at Brahma Lodge. Significant development occurred from the 1960s when the trotting stud was subdivided. Development continued in the 1970s and 1980s. The population declined slightly between 1991 and 2006, a result of some dwellings being added to the area, but a decline in the average number of persons living in each dwelling. The population and dwelling stock were relatively stable between 2006 and 2011.
Brahma Lodge is an established residential area.
Major features of the area include Brahma Lodge Oval, Cockburn Green, the Brahma Lodge Primary School.
