About Gulfview Heights:
Location and Boundaries
Gulfview Heights is bounded by Cobbler Creek Recreation Park in the north, the City of Tea Tree Gully in the east, the suburb of Para Hills, Nelson Road and McIntyre Road in the south and Bridge Road in the west.
Settlement of the area dates from the mid 1800s, with growth in the late 1800s. Significant development did not occur until the 1980s, with rapid growth during the 1990s. Population growth continued between 2001 and 2006, but at a slower rate, as fewer new dwellings were added to the area. The population and dwelling stock were relatively stable between 2006 and 2011.
Gulfview Heights is a relatively recent residential area with parklands, and some rural areas in the north-east.
Major features of the area include Wynn Vale Gullies, Kara Reserve and one school.
